Sometimes February isn’t the most romantic month.
You wouldn’t know that from opening up a catalog though. Or walking into the mall, or even browsing through a bookstore. Every retail store known to man would like you to think February is a time to be romantic.
And for some it is! And that is an awesome feeling, right?
But for others, February might be a reminder that life may look kinda crappy right now. And if you currently find yourself in that space, let me reach through the internet and give you a big squeeze.
I see you.
And I’m here to tell you that life won’t always look this way. Things will change for you soon. I just know it in my heart.
So while we are waiting for the greatness to arrive at your front door, I wanted to share a little something I created to help pass the time.
It’s like a Google Map for your Guardian Angel who, quite by accident, has been detoured to Albuquerque.
My little creation is sort of a monthly to-do list of self-care.
28 little daily ideas of ways you can make yourself smile, remind yourself that you are beautiful just the way you are, and all in all just bring a little bit more love and joy into your life.
And the best part? That love comes directly from yourself. It’s like you sewed a garden in your soul that has sprouted plants with big arms that wrap around you and give you 24-hour hugs.
Too much Little Shop of Horrors?
And by tending to yourself and your own needs, you are growing those tiny seedlings into Jack and the Beanstalk-size skyscrapers. You are creating your own continuous feeding system of love. And that, my little chickadees, is essential to our well being, whether we are in a relationship or not.
Because we can’t love others if we don’t first love ourselves.
So, take a look at the calendar below and see if anything resonates with you. Pick and choose which activities or ideas sound good and implement as many, or as few, as you like. You can download your own copy by clicking below on the download button.
And remember: I’m over here on the sideline, cheering my lungs out for you.
x. Megan
P.S. You’ll see the letters BUJO in the calendar on Monday’s. That weird combo of letters is just an acronym for the term Bullet Journal. If you haven’t ever heard of a bullet journal, check out my Pinterest page here for tips and ideas on how to get started. Journaling is a terrific creative exercise, and a great way to organize your thoughts.
